World War I.
Peace Silver Dollars were first minted in 1921 and the last

dollar
with the word Peace on the back to represent liberty, honor,
democracy and prosperity. Production of the
Peace Dollars continued until 1934 and was the last silver dollar to be minted
in the United States.
The Silver
Peace Dollar was minted in Philadelphia (that dollar has no mint mark) the
entire mintage, Denver (D) in 1922,1923,1926,1927 and 1934 and inSan Francisco
(S) from 1922 through 1935.
